The Whitchurch is a pub with a real local heritage.
It takes its name from the old Bristol Whitchurch Airport which played a major role in World War 2. Down the years, The Cartwheel, as it used to be known, created many jobs locally and was one the most popular pubs in the south of Bristol. With this heritage The Whitchurch name is truly a fitting tribute to local history – and the tradition of being at the heart of the community is a big part of future plans.
There is so much more on offer too. The philosophy of The Whitchurch is to offer the very highest standards of food and drink. There’s a fine selection of ales, wines and spirits together with soft and hot drinks too. When it comes to food, the quality is assured through the use of fully traceable fresh ingredients, all cooked by our experienced chefs in our well equipped modern kitchens and presented in just the way you would expect from a first class family establishment.
From starters and sharing platters to traditional main course classics, burgers and tempting desserts, there is something that will appeal to everyone, both at lunchtimes and during the evenings. The traditional Sunday Roast menu represents real value for money and a real treat for the whole family.
Our friendly, highly experienced team extends a very warm welcome to all customers, old and new.
